What water shortage??

My girls wanted to "help" me by watering the plants.  I found this as a good opportunity to get some things done around the house.  I demonstrated to Gracie how to turn on the water and to be certain that not too much water is coming out.  She seemed to understand.  Only to come outside about 10 minutes later with the hose just spewing out water like it's go'in outta style!  Apparently, we do not have a water shortage according to the Stromberg sisters!

Milestones.

As the girls get older we don't seem to hit or recognize milestones anymore.  However, in the last month I feel like we hit two HUGE milestones for us that are worthy enough to talk about!  The first one is... Emily no longer has her pacifier!  This is very monumental for us.. or maybe just me!  She was beginning to use it ALL THE TIME!  We were able to cut her time down from always to just nap/bed time.  Then our wonderful trip to Disneyland changed everything!  Poor thing was so darn tired that I'm guessing she just simply forgot to ask for it.  So when we got home and she asked... our response was "It's at Disneyland".  I mean really, what can you say to that?!

The next milestone happened with our big girl Gracie.  Up until yesterday she was still pooping in her pull-ups.  (maybe this is tmi??!!)  I have tried several times to get her to go in the potty and she would always say "tomorrow" or "when I'm bigger".  I let her pick out a princess dress at Target and if she goes poop in the toilet then she can wear it.  It only took 2 days folks!  Of course we'll see what happens tonight, or tomorrow, but for now I'm love'n it!! 

I am so very proud of my babies!  And I love to let them know it!!

I Love Being a Mom

Ok... so first of all, I always love being a mom.  However, when my little angels are sick, being a mom is like a hundred times better.  That doesn't sound very good...  Let me be more specific.  I love being able to take care of my babies and giving them the comfort of their mommy by being right there with them. 

I remember as a child (and still today), that when I'm sick, there's nothing better than having my mom by my side rubbing my back, making soup, or just watching a movie with me.  That is what we've been doing for the better part of the day.  We also threw in some puzzle time and cuddling with books.  Gracie, my oldest had a hot little head last night and woke up with it this morning.  She had to miss school and was not happy about it.

Emily, my youngest has the sniffles and is a little lethargic as well.  Although, when I brought out the camera she managed to smile and say cheese about 50 times!

Not sure if you can see, but her left nostril is a little runny!

  They are both very quiet and moving slowly; and those who know my kiddos know that this is not the norm for them.  But I sure will drink up the cuddling, nuzzling and caring for that I can during this time. 

Gotta love sisterly love.  Notice that Gracie is still wearing a crown??  A princess' job is never done!

 Get well soon girls... this quietness is really starting to freak me out!

Never Leave Your Child Unattended!

When we only had Gracie this rule of thumb was easy to follow. However, since having baby Emily it's not as easy as it used to be. While attending one, the other is sure to be elsewhere. And while chasing one in one direction, the other one is surely going the other way. The first picture was taken after I selfishly took a shower and tried to get ready for the day...
I let Gracie finger paint on her own, and apparently she wanted to body paint as well!
This next picture was taken during the time I was trying to help Gracie with a snack.
I saw Emily doing this and was thinking to myself, "No... she can't be!" And sure enough she did! The things these little turkeys can get into!

Say Cheese!

Jim and I finally bit the bullet and bought a "nice" camera. We've always had the basic fit in your pocket kind of camera. Although it does get the job done, the picture quality just isn't there. Also, with these kids moving as fast as they do, we seem to get a lot of blurry pictures. Below are some pictures that we've taken so far with our fab new camera!
